Job Description

Our Client is looking for a passionate ethical trade/responsible sourcing professional to support the delivery of their human rights and sustainability strategy and policies. They work within the food manufacturing industry and are looking for a vibrant,personable individual to join their supportive team.KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with suppliers to identify and mitigate human rights risks within the supply chain.
• Support the CSR Manager in the development of our long-term Ethical & Sustainability strategy, and lead on the delivery of defined projects.
• Conduct and maintain ethical risk assessments for new and approved suppliers.
• Build and develop positive relationships with key suppliers and arrange strategic reviews to assess supplier performance
• Provide practical guidance and training for suppliers on driving sustainable improvements to work conditions throughout our global supply chains
• Represent the business internally and externally with industry bodies and customers, collaborating on projects to address systemic human rights issues.
• Display understanding of specific customer objectives and incorporate these into the overall supplier ethical trading/responsible sourcing programme to ensure supply chain integrity and transparency.
• Assist in co-ordinating second/third party audits and in closing out audit non conformances
• Support the CSR Manager with projects and engagements to ensure sustainability opportunities are identified and optimised
• Strong knowledge of SEDEX, SMETA, SIZA, ETI BASE CODE, and LEAF.
• Knowledge of overseeing the implementation of supplier compliance
• The ability to analyse data and translate it into actionable and meaningful insight
• Well organised with strong attention to detail and great communication/presentation skills.
• Full driving licence and own transport
• Willingness to travel across the UK and overseas
• Ideally Spanish fluent
