Job Description

Property Accounts Assistant The Role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join us at RMG, a leading residential managing agent as a Property Accounts Assistant in our Hoddesdon office.As Property Accounts Assistant, you will assist in the day-to-day management of financial services for residential block managed properties. You will work closely with the Service Charge Accounts team and Property Managers providing reporting, data analysisand queryresolution across a range of residential properties portfoliosKey responsibilities include:

  • Producing periodic reporting to Clients / Property Managers
  • To provide property managers with financial information as requested within a reasonable timeframe
  • Undertake transfer of funds correctly within client accounts
  • Ensure service charge budgets are entered into the system accurately and within a timely manner
  • Assist in the preparation of budget reports for properties
  • Assist the Property manager in financial interpretation and analysis
  • Dealing with queries from leaseholders about their accounts
What skills, knowledge or experience will you haveEssential
  • Professional qualification in accountancy or finance ideally to AAT level 3 and working towards level 4
  • A minimum of 12 months experience of working in an accountancy for finance related position
  • Microsoft Excel in particular at intermediate level ( V look Ups, Sum ifs, equations, Pivot tables
Desirable
  • Experience working within a property accounts or finance environment dealing with; invoicing, late payments, reconciling banks accounts, budgets and service charge reporting
Personal attributes
  • High attention to detail with the ability to see and challenge information
  • Curious nature with the ability to analyse and investigate accounting anomalies
  • Strong communication skills, able to liaise with non-financial internal and external Customers
  • Self-motivated and organised, able to prioritise own workload
  • A team player, demonstrates working towards a common goal
  • Strong customer focus, understanding both internal and external stakeholders requirements
The VacancyThis role will be based our Hoddesdon office but may require the post holder to occasionally attend our London office for meetings with the wider property team
