Job Description

Chemical Assistant. West Midlands (M5 / M6 area).£20,000 - £25,000.Founded nearly a century ago, my award winning client is a leading provider of metal finishing solutions, throughout the world. Their diverse metal finishing services include plating and anodising, and they operate in some of the most lucrative markets; includingaerospace, automotive and defense.Their success has been testament to consistently exceeding the quality of other manufacturers and as a result, they continue to grow at an excellent rate. Does this sound like the type of company that can offer you the secure career prospects you are seekingDue to a busy orderbook, an opportunity has been created for a Chemical Assistant to join them and work within a small chemical processing team. This would be an excellent opportunity for a new Graduate or school leaver, who has a passion for chemistry andlooking to get their first step on the career ladder.The key responsibilities for your new role as a Chemical Assistant, are as follows:

  • Supporting the chemicals team and maintaining company databases.
  • Organising routine reporting and analysis.
  • Chemicals ordering.
  • Processing of external samples.
  • Data analysis.
My client is keen to find a Graduate or school leaver with a minimum of an A Level in Chemistry. In an ideal world, you will have the ability to learn process specification understanding, as well as the ability to interrogate technical drawings. Full trainingwill however, be provided.In return, my client is offering a starting salary of £20,000- £25,000, for this full-time, permanent role. An excellent benefits package is also on offer, as well as 32 days holiday per year (including Bank holidays), a 1pm finish on a Friday and further careerdevelopment prospects available for those who want it.The company are easily accessible from Birmingham, Dudley, Bromsgrove, Redditch and the surrounding areas.
