Location: CambridgeHourly Rate: £15-16/hour (PAYE). Outside Ltd Co options available as well.Duration: Initially 3 months, with the view to move into a permanent role later in the year.OverviewAre you an Electronics / Assembly Technician looking for an immediate start If so, dont go anywhere - we are looking for a talented Electronics Technician to fill a short term contract with the view to move into a permanent role later in the year.The company itself is a high-technology, technical manufacturing company that has seen extensive growth in its order book in recent years supplying to a variety of industries, including Aerospace, Defence, Medical and Mass Manufacturing.In a busy manufacturing team, your role will see you work within the production department, working on cutting edge electro-mechanical products.There will also be an element of PCB work as well, so you will need a mixture of through-hole and surface mount soldering experienceAssembly Technician Requirements:

Previous experience of electronic assembly
Experienced in electro-mechanical assembly of high technology products
Previous experience of PCB assembly and soldering - a mixture of through-hole and surface mount will be needed.
The Assembler should have experience of building small sub-assemblies and complete units
Ability to work to fine tolerances and use small hand-tools is required
Proven ability to accurately follow assembly instructions and build procedures is essential

Assembly Technician Requirements:

The Assembler will be required to build sub-assemblies and complete assemblies
Working from drawings and written instructions, candidates will need to be able to follow these accurately to build assemblies
PCB Population, soldering and quality checking.
Candidates will be required to assemble a wide variety of technical and scientific equipment
The Elec-Mech Assembler may be required to do soldering work on other assemblies as well
