Job Description

Are you an Advanced Research Assistant looking to perform cutting-edge science and contribute to research that will improve Cancer Patients livesMosaic Therapeutics(Mosaic)was founded in 2020 as a wholly owned subsidiary ofGenome Research Limited(GRL) with the aim of applying a decade of ground-breaking work in the Sanger Institutes Translational Cancer Genomics Laboratory to identify selectivevulnerabilities in cancer cells that can be exploited therapeutically. Mosaics formation was enabled and its activities are being driven by the vision and management of Mathew Garnett and Adrian Ibrahim.Mosaic also continues to benefit as a result of strong support from GRL, as GRLs most recent start-up company.We are seeking to recruit a Research Assistant to support Mosaics objectives by performing a range of molecular and cellular biology techniquesincluding cancer cell culture, 3D cancer organoid culture and the use of CRISPR gene editing.This is a great opportunity for a Research Assistant to perform cutting-edge science and contribute to research that will improve cancer patients lives.As a Research Assistant you will be responsible for:- Culturing cell models including cancer cell lines and organoid cultures for small and large scale experiments- Preparing and testing of lentiviruses- Support the team in assay development and optimisationYou will have:- A degree in Biological sciences or relevant laboratory experience- Proven ability to work effectively in a team- Good attention to detail and record- keeping- Proof of right to work in the UKFor full role responsibilities and criteria please download the job description.Other informationPlease submit your CV and cover letter addressing the following:- Your motivations for applying to this role- Your suitability for the role, using the information above and in the job description.Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and the role may close early if a successful appointment is made.
