Job Description

Experienced Senior Healthcare Assistants required for a Nursing home near GrayshottFull time permanent positions available - minimum of 36 hours per weekMust be flexible to work day or night shifts - 12 hoursPay rate up to £10.50 per hourMust hold a current driving licence and have access to own vehicle Our client is currently seeking experienced Senior Healthcare Assistants to join their team at their newly refurbished Nursing home. Working to a full time rota you must be flexible and able to commit to working on day shifts or night shifts and able to do 12 hour shifts. You should be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 and have 1-2 years experience within a similar environment or setting. Main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to -

  • assist in daily care of the residents, helping with dressing, washing, bathing and personal hygiene.
  • ensure appropriate individual care is given in accordance with care plans to all residents
  • support with mobility and other physical disabilities where appropriate
  • help with organising social activities and accompany residents on community outings
  • support with meal times, serving food, assisting residents with feeding and helping to clear away
  • help change bedding and assist with some light domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
  • responsible to monitor residents conditions and report to managers where required
  • help in maintaining a safe and healthy environment with due regard to appropriate food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
  • read and write reports as well as participate in resident and staff meetings
  • assist with end of life care for residents who are terminally ill
  • assist the manager and nursing team with administration, control and storage of medication
  • monitor the performance of care staff
