The Hillingdon Hospitals Foundation Trust Locum Consultant Respiratory Medicine We are seeking a Locum Consultant in Respiratory Medicine with an interest in pleural procedures for a 6 month post (10 PAs which includes 0.5PA for on call GIM). The successful candidate will join the Respiratory Department at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Trust comprises five Consultant Respiratory Physicians: Dr Peter Wills, Dr Mimi Haselden, Dr Dalia Wahab and Dr Samantha Kon and Dr Harpreet Lota. Hillingdon Hospital offers general respiratory outpatient services and full respiratory physiology facilities. Existing interests within the Department include Integrated Respiratory Care, COPD and Asthma, TB, Lung Cancer, ILD and NIV. Infrastructure support at THHFT is provided by two respiratory SpRs, one IMT1, one FY2 and two FY1s. This post also has opportunities to develop level 2 care.The London Borough of Hillingdon has a registered GP population of 300,000, stretching from Heathrow Airport in the south to Northwood in the north. The airport, with a through put of 65 million passengers a year, adds an international dimension to service provision.The hospital has a busy Accident and Emergency with 110,000 visits a year. Hillingdon Hospital is in the south of the Borough and provides outpatient, elective, day case and ITU/HDU services (among others).
