Job Description

Job title ETSF Import ClerkCompany International Distribution companyLocation Hillingdon, MiddlesexSalary £25k - £30kRcruiter are working on behalf of a leading International distribution business based in Middlesex that seeks an ETSF Import Clerk to ensure full compliance with all HMRC / Border Forces rules and regulations and provide an outstanding level of service to all stakeholders. The successful candidate must have custom entry experience including import and export. You will also come from a logistics / transport background and have knowledge of the industry. We are looking for an experienced administrator who is a confident communicator and can demonstrate a high level of accuracy. The main responsibilities and desired experience for the role are as follows:Main Responsibilities:

  • Must have good IT skills and understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, E-Customs, ASM Sequoia etc.
  • Must have good written communications skills and importantly the ability to problem-solve.
  • Customer care is a vital part of this role and so good interpersonal skills are very important.
  • Good working knowledge of customs formalities & legislation on both Imports & Exports and good understanding of CFSP & ETSF procedures.
    • Key Skills and Experience Desired:
  • Minimum 1 years experience in working within a customs-controlled environment or Import department.
  • Understanding and knowledge of the Importation of goods into the UK and all customs systems and procedures.
  • To be able to carry out Import entries and knowledge of CFSP.
  • Knowledge of NCTS or NES would be advantageous but not essential.
  • All candidates will be subject to a 5 year work and or education check. Any gaps in employment greater than 28 days will require an explanation/verification.
  • In addition, a full clean security check is required for this role.
  • Photo ID and right to work in the UK must be provided during the interview process.
