Job Description

Creative Support is a thriving and progressive national third sector social care organisation, with a passion for delivering high quality and meaningful services to the people we support.We require skilled and experienced Relief Support Workers for our supported living scheme in Higher Broughton, Salford. The service was commissioned by Salford City Council to provide a bespoke new building for people with learning disabilities, physicaldisabilities and health care needs.The role will involve building warm and trusting relationships with individual service users, enabling them through person centred support to lead fulfilling lives in their homes and the local community.Relief Support Worker Duties: Providing direct care and support which will include working closely with health professionals to ensure service users health care needs are met Supporting people with their individual communication needs, ensuring their needs, wants and preferences are understood and met Contributing to the delivery of support which meets peoples diverse cultural needs Provide respectful personal care and support to individuals with cooking, cleaning, housework and other life skills Supporting service users in accessing social and leisure activitiesWe are seeking people who have experience of working with people with learning disabilities or who have transferrable skills from other care settings. You will work closely with families and other professionals, and be part of our wider network of high qualityservices across Salford.This is a Relief Support Worker position which enables you to pick up shifts at a time that suits you, which is ideal for fitting around personal commitments, study or caring responsibilities. The flexible shift pattern includes evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.As a Creative Support Bank Staff member you will have access to our free app which allows you to pick up shifts in any area of the country and provides information on the service and shifts, including directions.
