My client a growing a new build manufacturing site is looking for a Maintenance SupervisorBason Bridge - Own Transport is essential to get to this clientReports To: Plant and Operations ManagerPurpose:Assist in the management of a system to ensure the timely and efficient maintenance ofequipment and machinery.Participate and lead continuous improvement effort within the company and support customer requirements to achieve significant savings.Improvement projects will be prioritized to deliver the most business value.To be responsible for the site electrical work and provide support to site and maintenance engineering department on breakdowns, repair and modification.Principle ResponsibilitiesSupport the Planning and organizing TPM activities and spare parts system withinthe business to ensure a proactive approach to machine maintenance.Fault finding with PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems using logic diagrams.Active hands-on involvement in machine and equipment maintenance andinstallation including dismantling and rebuilds of gears, belts and machinemechanics.Completion of electrical installation, electrical safety checks and electrical faultdiagnostics on a range of equipment and machinerySupport the operation with the creation of Standard operational procedure and training aids.Identify improvement and Lead the Continuous improvement program for business.Work with other members of the team to design and supervise construction for new equipment installations to achieve project objectives.Support the Maintenance Engineering department, and provide cover whennecessary, assisting in the support of daily operations (including weekend and evening shifts, call outs where required).Responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, including working with the locations safety teams.Provide support to the Quality department to achieve third party accreditation and ensure that the appropriate documentation is completed by contractor.Advise the Operation Manager and production staff on production and plant operation.Support and supervise trials and the production of new materials and processes.To support the development of manufacturing process.Competency Requirements:Communicates well both verbally and in writing, creates accurate and punctual reports, delivers presentations, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.Leads through change and adversity, builds consensus when appropriate, motivates and encourages others.Project management experience. Establish project goals, milestones, coordinates projects throughout company, and monitors project progress.Prioritizes well, shows energy, reacts to opportunities, instils urgency in others, and meets deadlines.Minimum HNC/HND or degree qualified.Qualified to work on single and three phase industrial electrical installation and be conversant with current electrical regulations.Previous supervisory experience and experience of TPM environment in automated food factory environment.Computer literate - able to work with MS suites including Word, Excel anddatabases.Be available to cover call out breakdown as the factory is a 24 hour operation.Skill Requirements:Excellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent computer skills.Salary £30K to £50K+ dependent on qualifications and experiencePredominately 8.30- 5.30 Monday to Thursday and 8-5 Friday
