Job Description

My client, a growing manufacturing business based in Highbridge, is looking for a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join their team. Reporting directly into the Managing Director you will be responsible for the prospecting of new customersas well as maintaining the current customer base.This role will cover the whole of the UK, and as such travel is required. Although the role is based in Highbridge, Somerset partial remote working is available with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office.In this role you will be planning persuasive approaches and pitches to customers in order to win business. Using your strong communication skills you will be building a rapport with these new customers and providing support that continually improves relations.As well as this you will work closely with existing customers to understand their changing needs to ensure both retention and growth where possible. In order to achieve this you will be supported by a strong technical and commercial team.Some key duties will include:

  • The identification of suitable projects at pre-tender stage, making contact and arranging meetings with all the principals involved in the project
  • Managing the process from receipt of enquiry, being creative in accommodating the customers requirements within budget
  • Presenting quotations to the tendering main contractors.
  • On award of the project; manage, co-ordinate and liaise between all internal and external parties to ensure smooth transition to manufacture
