You will also need eligibility to work in the UK and be willing to apply for DBS disclosure.WHAT DOES THE TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE INVOLVE:The teaching role includes supporting the class teacher and students during lessons, 1:1 session, intervention groups and working with other departments. The lessons will have delivered to all year groups Key Stage 3, Key stage 4, and the desire to workwith Key Stage 5 is preferable but not essential.WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MY ROLE AS A GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANTAs a teaching assistant, you will be exposed to students of various abilities, you will need to analyse data and build up your ability to raise attainment using skills, lesson plans, numeracy, and literacy tasks to raise attainment. Again, this will build yourknowledge of how students are monitored, data is analysed, and attainment is raised, and students are managed more effectively by teachers. As a Graduate teaching assistant, youll learn and implement strategies to support students engage with the curriculum.WHAT WILL PROSPERO AND THE SCHOOL DO TO HELP ME IF I HAVE NO EXPERIENCEAs a new member of staff, you will be given an induction by Prospero and allocated a line manager in the school, usually the Higher Learning Teaching Assistant and SENCO. These people will provide you with extensive guidance and support, you will also be supportedby Prospero. Regular meetings and CPD training sessions are offered by Prospero and the school to ensure you are learning, growing and developing within the Graduate teaching assistant role.
