Job Description

Paying up to £27,000 + Benefits - Based in Heywood in North Manchester, our client has been established in the Northwest for over 40 years. Based at their head office in Heywood, they are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to jointheir busy finance team. This is a permanent job opportunity that will be office based. The hours are 8.30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday (40hrs pw).THE JOBReporting directly to the Finance Manager, as Credit Controller your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors
  • Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers’ credit rankings with Creditsafe, and Companies House filing history
  • Setting up of terms and conditions of credit
  • Ensuring timely payment of debts
  • Following up payments as needed
  • Negotiating re-payment plans
  • Responding to relevant client enquiries
  • Processing and reconciliation of invoices
  • Checking and posting of receipts to our accounts system
  • Preparation of statements
THE PERSONThis Credit Control job opportunity will suit an experienced and loyal Credit Controller that is looking to join a friendly, local team in Heywood.The key skills required includes:
