Job Description

Aquilo recruitment are working in Partnership with one of the Uks leading boiler manufacturers who due to growth are looking to add an experienced Technical training manager to their growing team, if you are looking to step up, for a new challenge or fancyworking for a top company who value there staff and culture, this role could be for you.Please note there is hybrid working but will require travel around the uk and to headoffice in the north. Technical Training ManagerHide details The Technical Training Department continue to invest in technology, equipment, and expertise to set us apart from the competition. The successful job holder will be at the forefront of the new products and technologies that form our future roadmap. The roleprovides excellent opportunities to work independently and flexibly and also be part of a supportive team within the Expert Academy.Your ongoing development will be positively supported and strongly encouraged. We love innovation and entrepreneurship, so we welcome people who are creative and passionate to drive improvements and take ideas from incubation to delivery.Duties will include:

  • Deliver and facilitate technical training to our customers and employees.
  • Where relevant, ensure programmes meet the requirements of our awarding bodies and industry scheme requirements.
  • Designing the training programmes for our exciting product release roadmap, providing the opportunity to exercise creativity and best in class training methodology.
  • Managing your own time and workload which, as part of a national team will include keeping all your stakeholders updated on progress and contributing to the team success.
  • Contributing to the performance and reputation of our training function.
  • Develop and drive excellence in our training locations and mobile facilities.
Essential requirements Include:
  • NVQ 3/City and Guilds/Equivalent industry qualifications
  • Domestic ACS Core units
  • Unvented HWSS (G3)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstratable enthusiasm and passion to undertake a training and development role
The following are desirable: (but training and support would be offered to attain these qualifications)
  • TAQA/A1 Assessor Award or equivalent
  • TAQA/V1 Internal Verifier Award or Equivalent
  • A Training / Learning and Development qualification such as C&G 7300, 6318 or equivalent - and/or previous experience of successful working within a vocational learning environment
We need to go where our customers are, so you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and be prepared to spend some time away from home. We keep this to a minimum, but it is a requirement as part of your core duties and frequency can fluctuate basedon demand.Candidates should display behaviours in keeping with our Values of Integrity, Excellence, Learning, Collective Efficiency, Innovation, Business Development and Enjoyment.
