Job Description

Axi Recruitment is delighted to be working with an established business in the Hessle area for an Accounts Payable Controller to join the company, supporting the Finance function at head office. The role of the Accounts Payable Controller will help acrossall functions within Accounts.The Role:

  • Accounts Payable control
  • Process supplier invoices on a timely and accurate basis
  • Analyse and understand balances on supplier accounts
  • Reconcile each supplier’s statement of account
  • Pro-actively resolve debit balances on the purchase ledger, maintaining control over the quality of the purchase ledger and allocating payments timely in the correct period
  • Cover bank postings when the Cashier is on holiday
  • Set up International Payments in banking software for payment & process daily payment runs
  • Credit card receipt/expenses analysis & posting in SAP
The Person:
  • At least 3 years’ previous experience in a similar role within Accounts Payable with an understanding of Purchase Ledger
  • Good Excel skills and SAP knowledge
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem solve, make decisions and take ownership of your role
