Job Description

Health & Safety AssistantA fantastic opportunity is on offer, to work within a long-established Hessle based logistics company as a full-time H&S Assistant. The role will assist the HR/H&S Manager with the day-to-day management of health and safety across their Hessle and Marfleetsites. The role will be based at the Hessle site. Key responsibilities include:

  • Control of contractors working on siteRAMS, insurance liabilities and permits to work
  • Record accidents/incidents and co-ordinate investigations
  • Record weekly site inspections including fire alarm testing and warehouse housekeeping checks
  • Assist with completion and regular review of risk assessments
  • Maintain MSDS database
  • Control and issue of PPE
  • Assist with the review and update of internal training documents
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant health, safety and welfare at work legislation
Person SpecificationIt is essential that you possess good IT skills along with a good degree of literacy and communication skills. You will need to have a good understanding of health and safety legislation and have recent and relevant experience in a similar role. You must hold a full UK Driving Licence.Vacancy Information:
