Tradewind recruitment are working with an excellent partnership school in the East Riding of Yorkshire, situated a short drive from Hull, who are in need of a qualified and experienced English teacher to work from after the Easter break 2021, until the end of the academic year. You will be performing all of the responsibilities and duties of a permanent staff member, and for this reason will be paid to scale (up to M6) for this position. This position is full time. This is a temporary contract. You will be covering for a vacant position.You will be working within a high functioning English department, with an excellent Head of Department, who all aim to provide the best possible education to their students. A comprehensive set of lesson plans are available for the successful candidate, that would just need to be amended to suit the needs of individual classes. For this reason, planning for this position will be minimal. The department are looking for a teacher who specialises in teaching English, and can deliver this subject to Key Stage 5 students. A Level experience is desirable for this position. Experience teaching in an intervention role/performing small group intervention would be ideal, as a large part of this booking will involve working with small groups, catching students up with their lost learning time.The school is an exceptional private school, that places student welfare and personal development at the forefront of everything that they do. While being renown for excellent academic achievement, it is the investment in student enrichment that is the key driver for this group. The school is a large school, that caters for students aged 11-18. As there is a 6th form attached, there is potential for some A level teaching on this placement, if the successful candidate feels suitably qualified and comfortable with teaching A level.
