Job Description

Position: Senior Positive Behaviour Support PractitionerLocation: Doncaster (South Yorkshire, York & Scunthorpe)Role: PermanentSalary: £37,287Hours: 37.5 per weekQin Recruitment are working with a well-established provider of specialist care, support and education for people with complex care needs, including behaviours that challenge and a learning disability, often in association with autism.About the RoleDo you have a compassionate approach to working with people Are you committed to understanding people’s needs and using evidence-based practice to help people to flourish We are looking for a Positive Behaviour Support Senior to support the delivery ofhigh quality, person-centred support to improve the quality of life of adults with learning disabilities.You will be a key part of the multi-disciplinary team within the service and will also be part of their Therapeutic Services team, comprising of Applied Psychology, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy.This role is primarily based at Tickhill, Doncaster, but input is also required into other services in South Yorkshire, York, and Scunthorpe (location preferences can be discussed at interview).About You

  • We are looking to recruit people who have:
  • Enthusiasm for engaging autistic individuals and people with intellectual disabilities in planning their own futures.
  • Experience in working with autistic individuals and people with intellectual disabilities.
  • Experience in collaborative approaches to working with behaviours of concern and reducing restrictive practices.
  • MSc in PBS/ABA or equivalent, with an in-depth understanding of the principles and application of PBS
  • Experience of carrying out behavioural and skills assessment and interventions, and in implementing PBS in MDT settings
  • Experience in coaching, training, and supporting staff.
