Job Description

Major Recruitment are recruiting for a client based in Washington who are the UKs leading independent manufacturer of printed envelopes, supplying many of the countrys top businesses.We are currently recruiting for envelope machine operator/packer to work in a fast paced production environment packing envelopes to customers specifications from the end of a high speed machine.Role responsibilities include

Ability to work safely and observe Health & Safety regulations.
Work is physical in nature.
Pack envelopes into boxes at speed.
Percentage quality checks of finished product during production.
Maintain production records during manufacture.
Maintain housekeeping standards
Punctual and reliable
Able to work to tight deadlines
Accurate and have attention to detail
Flexible and adaptable as you are likely to undertake several different tasks in one shift
Able to stand for long periods of time

Hours of workInitial working pattern will be dayshift Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week for four weeks.Thereafter the shift pattern is 36 hours per week alternates days and nights, 7.00pm-7.00am Sunday to Tuesday, 7.00am-7.00pm Thursday to Saturday, 7.00pm-7.00am Wednesday to Friday, 7.00am-7.00pm Monday to Wednesday and with a 40 minute paid break. Thesehours may vary with the requirements of the business.Rate£9.50 per hour plus £40 shift allowance
