Our client based in Huntingdon - Cambridgeshire is looking for a dynamic and motivated Accounts and Office Manager to join their team:This is varied role working across the owners diverse business entities with offices in a village location near Godmanchester.The successful candidate will be a self-starter with experience of working on their own initiative and a can-do attitude supporting the wider team; proactive communication skills are essential.Duties will include (but are not limited to):AccountingoProcessing sales, purchasing, bank and credit card transactionsoGeneral accounting reconciliationsoIntercompany analysis and reconciliationoMaintaining balance sheet schedules including HP and Loan accountsoProfit and loss reportingoVAT returnsoPreparing year end schedules for accountants with over-sight and support from the Business ManagerCash FlowoMaintaining retail bank accounts cash flow spreadsheetoPaying suppliers, payroll, VAT etc.oReport forecast and actualsoManage cash allocation across retail bank accountsoLiaise closely with the Business Manager who is responsible for overall cash-flow controlPayroll and Human ResourcesoReview timesheets and clock-in reportsoPrepare submission to payroll provideroPay salaries and PAYE/NIoPrepare P11D schedule for payroll provideroAssist the Business Manager with supporting the HR process including:Staff contractsCompany vehicle policiesMaternity and paternity requirementsOffice Management and Misc tasksoFile Confirmation Statements with Companies HouseoNegotiate utility contractsoLiaison with IT supportoLiaison with accountantoProvide a back-office function to support the retail businesses when requiredoGeneral office management tasksoOversight of contracted in office cleaneroSupport the Business Manager and Business Owner when requiredPerson specification:Experience in a similar accounting role is essentialExperience within catering or retail sector is an advantageKnowledge and experience of VAT, including submitting Make Tax Digital returns Working knowledge of payroll and PAYEProficient in SAGE, Excel, Word, Outlook etcStrong time management and prioritisation skillsEffective management of documentation, both paper and electronicGood business relationship management and communication skillsConfidentiality is essentialEducated to degree level or equivalent is desirable, but not essentialACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, part-qualified or evidence of qualified by experienceShould you feel that this is an opportunity which you would like to explore and you have the required skill set - Please call Sharon on INDCOMMERCIAL
