Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Set and operate various machines associated with the manufacturing process
May be required to carry out manual production / packing operations.
Accurately record information relating to scrap, downtime, and machine issues.
Have a knowledge & understanding of shop orders
Collection & checking of materials to be used in the production process
Compliance with SOPs / work instructions associated with each process
Participate and conform to 5s activities
Completion of all relevant Safety and Quality Checks on Process and Product in accordance with Stanley Black and Decker Safety and Quality standards.
Asset care of assigned machinery (Simple, routine machine checks and maintenance tasks)
Any other reasonable tasks/duties to aid the efficient running of the
department.

Working Conditions

Hearing, Eye and safety footwear PPE to be worn at all times.
Handling of oily and sometimes sharp components.
Artificial light all day.
Ambient Temperature can vary from Hot to Cold dependent upon the Position of Machinery and Time of Year.
On feet majority of the day

Safety of Others:

Must have safety awareness and participate in ensuring the working environment is kept in a safe and clean condition.

Skill:

Must have good understanding of English and Mathematics
Must have a mechanical aptitude
Mechanical apprenticeship in a FMCG environment would be advantageous but not essential

Experience Required:

Previous experience of working in a production / fast paced manufacturing environment would be an advantage
