Abbeywood School is expanding; we are opening a new school and an exciting opportunity to join our Support Services Team as Cook in Charge has been created. The successful candidate will get to work in our brand new kitchen, work regular hours withno evenings or weekends and have 14 weeks paid holiday per year. As Cook in Charge at our Witherslack Group School, youll whip up delicious meals for around 50-100 staff, visitors and young people. Food hygiene is paramount and youll observe all regulations. Youll also plan menus and consider nutritionalstandards. Its a great opportunity to build relationships with staff and young people alike.Along with a Level 3 qualification in Food Safety in Catering (or equivalent), youll bring good organisational skills and the ability to plan menus. These menus must be well-balanced and encourage our young people to try new food. Having catered for largegroups before, youll know how to budget and order in bulk. An insistence on high standards means your food is always tasty and well prepared.Abbeywood School opened in January 2019 and like all of our schools, offers state-of-the-art learning resources and well equipped environments.
