Job Description

ARM are recruiting for a SSE Maintenance technician with experience of mechanical or electrical engineering for a permanent opportunity with a defence company in Helensburgh.You will be joining a mature environment, where your contributions will have a direct impact on safeguarding the U.K. at home and abroad.As a SSE Maintenance technician with experience of mechanical or electrical engineering based in Helensburgh, you will be responsible for;

  • Conduct Ballast Can refurbishment, including Grit Blasting and paint spraying.
  • Conduct tasks to support Submarine and shore based SWS systems and equipment.
  • Work as a fully integrated member of the SWS Waterfront team. This may involve travel to other UK and USA sites.
  • Assist engineers in corrective, preventative maintenance and contractor level fault finding.
  • Attend required facility and Weapon System training as assigned by the personnel training profile.
You should, as a SSE Maintenance Technician able to work in Helensburgh, have experience of the following;
  • Have a "hands on" working background.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office Software suite.
  • Pro-active approach to providing solutions to emergent challenges.
  • Team player.
  • Good timekeeping
