We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter Supervisor to join ourinternational engineering client based in Dunbartonshire. This is a permanent position in a regulated work environment, with a focus on mechanical fitting activities, including onsite planned and preventative maintenance.As a Mechanical Fitter Supervisor, you will play a vital role in leading a team in the maintenance and repair of specialist equipment in a dynamic and challenging environment. Your responsibilities will include:

Identifying defects and efficiently repairing systems
Conducting planned and reactive maintenance, testing, and commissioning activities
Collaborating with a highly skilled team to ensure the smooth operation of critical equipment
Line management of a team of mechanical Fitters

Key Requirements:To excel in this role, you should have:

Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a Marine Engineering or industrial setting, which would be advantageous
Supervisory experience
Proficiency in understanding and interpreting technical drawings
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
Experience with maintenance procedures, risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments, and Safe Systems of Work
Exceptional teamwork and communication skills

Qualifications Required:Candidates should hold one of the following qualifications:

Recognized Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship qualified to SVQ Level 3 (or NVQ and C&G equivalent)
HNC and above in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, coupled with industry experience
Supervisory experience
