Job Description

Senior Finance ManagerLocation: HelensburghSalary: £70,000 to £85,000+ Pension, Bonus & moreWork Pattern: The role can accommodate a 4-day week with hybrid working typically 2/3 days in office per week.We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager, working with a global industry leader in the technology sector, where you will play a pivotal role in the ongoing success of the business.The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for providing financial and commercial advice across the business to the achieve objectives and Business strategy. This will include providing financial, commercial and contractual advice and guidance to membersof the Finance team, Programme Managers, Capture Teams, and the Leadership Team. Responsible for pricing and costing policy and controls, ensuring related management processes are defined and the Business is complying with the processes and procedures. Thiswill include ensuring Quality Control process and audit periodicity are followed by the staff. You will be familiar with UKIS financial processes and procedures to enable meaningful customer interface on audits and meeting reporting requirements, as well asdialogue with other divisions in the UK, the U.S., and worldwide to facilitate the furtherance of the business’ interests.Day to day Senior Finance Manager responsibilities include:

  • Managing within a demanding environment, with close, integrated work with the customer;
  • Pricing of proposals for new and follow on business for the Strategic Systems business unit;
  • The management of and advocacy for supplier data analysis and cost modelling performed by cost engineering;
  • Analysis and agreement of the forward pricing rates with auditors, including:
o Management of the workload forecasting and overhead budgeting processeso Analysis and agreement of QDC / non QDC rates with auditors
  • Management associated business unit reports in compliance with requirements
  • Leadership of the planning and reporting for New Business Capture funding streams.
  • Contract and subcontract management, procurement and back office support to the business
Senior Finance Manager skills and experience
  • Proven experience in a Senior Finance role (Senior Finance Manager, Finance Director, Senior Financial Controller or equivalent)
  • Professional Accounting qualification (Qualified Accountant, Chartered Accountant, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Demonstrable Management / Leadership experience
  • Financial Control and Reporting
  • Experience of a Corporate environment
  • Customer facing with excellent stakeholder management
Desirable skills
  • Financial reporting systems and Statutory Reporting
  • Contract & Sub-Contract management experience
  • Contract management within the Defence Industry
  • Pre and post-sale activity introducing and managing new contracts
