EC&I EngineerFaslane - ClydeCavendish NuclearSF30566Role SummaryHere at Cavendish Nuclear we have a new opportunity for an EC&I Engineer to join our team based out of Faslane, Clyde. In this role uou will deliver engineering conceptual and detailed design, drawings, calculations, and technical solutions.Role Responsibilities:You will be responsible for the production, verification and approval of EC&I drawings. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Amtech and Dialux required.You should be proficient with electrical symbols and drawing standards, Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Cable Routing Diagrams, Control Circuit Schematic Diagrams, Panel General Assemblies, Termination diagrams, Instrument Loop/hook-up diagrams as a minimum.You will produce, verify and approve calculations, drawings, design base documentation and technical reports and supervising trainee staff in production of same and supervise designers in the production of drawings. You will also supervise engineers/technical specialists within the same discipline.You will also be responsible for the line management of other engineers.Other tasks will include:* Supporting and leading estimates for bids.* Maintain the engineering configuration, ensuring that the overall design intent and integrity is maintained throughout design development and subsequent changes.* Representing the discipline to customers, regulatory and external bodies.* Independent assessment of the technical basis of claims and disputes.* Reviewing industry best practice for implementation.Role Qualifications & RequirementsYou will require an engineering degree. HND/HNC as a minimum and you will also be a member of one or more relevant professional institutions preferred, with Incorporated or Chartered recognition attained.We would also like you to have demonstrable experience post degree qualification, covering a range of engineering/technical topics including Nuclear industry or other safety or regulated industry experience.Finally, you will require demonstrable experience post degree qualification covering a range of engineering and/or technical topics including design, specification, safety case support, installation, commissioning, and supervision of staff/contractors. This would ideally be covering a variety of tasks or projects across a range of complexities.Location* The base location for this role will be Clyde, however travel to Cavendish and other client sites shall be, required.What else do I need to know* All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be subject to satisfactory security clearance which includes 3 years reference checks.
