Job Description

About the RoleWere looking for a Defence Training Designer Instructor to complement our team. This role is based from Coulport, Helensburgh and benefits from eithier our 9/75 or 4xFlex working patterns, being a 9 day working fortnight or 4 day working week (days canvary depending on training schedule). The postholder will be responsible to the Learning & Development Associate Manager for ensuring that customer requirements and contractual outputs are delivered against agreed Service Level Agreements and Key PerformanceIndicators.Key Information:PermanentHelensburghHybrid4 day working week!37.5 hours a weekDuties / Responsibilities:

  • Work as a fully integrated member of the LMUK SS Training Team
  • Design documents and training modules to the Defence Standards
  • Support operations in support of training outputs
  • Conduct reviews of training documentation in accordance with LMUK SS and Defence Quality Processes
  • Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge and understanding of approved documentation, mandatory health and safety legislation, acceptance standards and directives to ensure compliance with Trident Programme and Company requirements
Required skills, qualifications and experience
  • Experience as Training Designer
  • Experience of defence instructional delivery standards is preferred
  • Engineering background is also desirable
  • Excellent organisational and workload management skills
  • Strong communication, verbal and presentation skills
  • Flexibility and an adaptable attitude
  • Be motivated, reliable, show initiative and be able to work to deadlines.
