We are looking for a General Medicine Clinical / Counselling Psychologist to join the Clinical Health Psychology & Neuropsychology Services team based in Exeter on a permanent contract for 15 hours per week.This post represents an exciting opportunity for a new or recently qualified clinical psychologist who would like to develop expertise and experience in a clinical health psychology service setting.You will be part of a dynamic and supportive clinical health psychology & neuropsychology service within the Trust serving the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. You will have access to a wide range of professional support and further training initiatives linked to the job role.The post involves working alongside the Clinical Lead for the general medicine psychology service in delivering assessments and individual psychological therapies for people with medical conditions on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.Devon Partnership NHS Trust is growing as we establish ourselves us as one of the leading providers of mental health services in the country.Working as part of Devon Partnership NHS Trust, you will make a difference to people’s lives from the moment you start.£38,890 - £44,503 per annum pro rata (Band 7) About you The post would suit a clinician who has an interest in developing experience in health psychology based approaches that can incorporate therapies such as CBT, ACT, CFT, EMDR.Opportunities for further training in these approaches are available. We also have collaborative links with the IAPT service that has a long term conditions team.We have excellent links with the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology training programmes at the Universities of Exeter and Plymouth, where opportunities exist for service related research and the provision of clinical placements The location Your base will be in Exeter, however under the current COVID-19 conditions this may be subject to alternative arrangements/change for example home working.
