Job Description

Excellent opportunity to join this International company based in Warwick. This is a Health and Safety Advisor role which offers a nice mix of going out to service clients (audits), as well as maintaining systems at the Head Office.As the H&S Advisor, you should have a strong awareness of H&S standards & policies, and enjoy a hands on client facing role.You will assist in driving a positive culture to accident prevention, health and welfare of all employees as well as maintaining positive measure to raise health and safety standards. Providing advice and training for all employees will be a key element of this role in addition to ensuring the SHE H&S system is maintained correctly.Key Duties

  • Provide support and assistance to the H&S Manager, including travelling to client sites for audits & ad hoc visits
  • Provide advice and support to all areas of the business
  • Manage the administration for Health & Safety policies, activities, training and health surveillance programmes through the SHE system
  • Investigate and implement appropriate action where necessary for Accident/Incident and Near-Miss reports
  • Manage Health and Safety committee meetings
  • Assist with administration for accreditation membership bodies including Altius, Safe Contractor, SEDEX and Artila for example
  • Maintain the Health & Safety KPI charts
  • Compile monthly Health & Safety reports
  • Administer PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements and records
  • Conduct and record site audits
  • Assist with completion of risk assessments
  • Maintain the contractors Facilities database
  • Arrange external facilities contractor visits for e.g. facilities breakdowns
  • Compliance to company policies and group management systems
    • You:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Health & Safety role
  • Minimum Nebosh Certificate
  • Preferable Level 3 (or equivalent) in H&S
  • Computer literate and Microsoft Office experience
  • Enthusiastic and a good team player
  • Ability to work quickly whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy
  • Confidentiality regarding personal records
  • Organises own work and prioritises own tasks
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with internal and external stakeholders
  • Good IT skills
  • Driving license - as you will be travelling across the UK to client sites.
