Job Description

Department: Community Dental, Royal Leamington Spa Rehabilitation Hospital,Location: Heathcote Lane, Heathcote, Warwick, CV34 6SRPay:£9.21 per hour plus accrued holiday payThe Dental Administration Trainee will be the first point of contact for patients and the general public in which you will be expected to deal with direct and indirect enquiries from patients, staff and other healthcare professionals and services.The working hours for this role - 30-37.5 and you would be required to work Monday - Friday, Start Date: As soon Possible till 25.03.2022.Do you have the following skills

  • Be the first point of contact for patients and the general public
  • Answer telephone enquiries
  • To deal with direct and indirect enquiries from patients, staff and other healthcare professionals and services
  • Processing external post and distributing where appropriate
  • Patient appointment reminders
  • Dealing with emergency access requests
  • To ensure clinical appointment systems are organised and coordinated to ensure appointments are booked efficiently
  • To assist the Dental Nurse Specialist with the organisation and booking of patients requiring treatment under intravenous sedation and general anesthetic
  • To assist the Dental Nurse Specialist with the organisation of the administration of screening and epidemiology including liaising with schools etc.
  • To assist the Dental Nurse Specialist with the organisation of the administration, presentations and promotions for oral health
  • Receive and prepare documentation for patients and ensure completion of NHS dental forms
  • Create and maintain dental records
  • To ensure all filing systems are efficiently maintained to ensure patient records are secure and patient confidentiality is protected
  • To prepare all clerical information in readiness for clinical sessions ensuring all relevant patient information is available and accurately presented
  • Input data onto dental Patient Administration System (R4)
  • Scanning of referrals
  • Manage on partnership with the Booking Officer recall waiting lists for routine examinations
  • Process patient payments using a card machine
  • Deal with referrals from clinicians and other medical disciplines
  • Deal with referrals/queries from NHS Direct
