Job Description

£25,000 - £27,000 + BenefitsAs a result of sustained growth, a new opportunity exists for a highly organised Credit Controller to provide a broad ranging finance support service for a fast paced, successful engineering team with a global footprint and a reputation for providing serviceand product excellence.ATG Access specialise in the design, manufacture and supply of parking and access control products including cantilever, bi-fold and swing gates, automatic and manual barriers, automatic bollards, rising kerbs, speed ramps and access control equipment. Workingwith some of the most prestigious public and private sector clients, first class design is a key factor in their continued success.Reporting into the Management Accountant, but working closely with the Finance Director, the successful Credit Controller will proactively manage the sales ledger in order to maintain cashflows into the business and minimise overdue debt. In addition, the postholder will also be responsible for customer account setup, credit checks and credit limit management. Key Responsibilities

  • Timely raising of daily sales invoices, credit notes and pro-forma invoices as required, checking invoice accuracy and ensuring VAT, currencies and all other invoice details are correct, understanding the new Domestic Reverse Charge (DRC) processes.
  • Proactive contact with internal & external customers as required in the pursuit of payment of invoices
  • Management of aged debt - 7-day letters, interest charges, CCJs
  • Allocation of all cash receipts daily to ensure outstanding debt is kept to a minimum and account balances are accurate
  • Distribution of monthly customer statements
  • Daily reporting of progress and sales ledger issues to Manager
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar credit control position
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team with good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent workload management and organisational skills
  • Ability to establish priorities and work to tight deadlines
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Reliable and co-operative team member willing to go the extra mile to help others
  • Contract revenue experience would be advantageous, but not essential
  • MS Excel - intermediary level, to be able to create spreadsheets and formulas
  • Previous working experience within a construction industry would be an advantage, and working in a high volume and fast-moving data environment would be preferable
