Job Description

Online Trading Manager (Ecommerce)Romford, EssexSalary c£30,000 per annum dependant on experience plus great benefits- Free Parking on site Full time 37.5 hours per week- Monday to Friday We are currently recruiting for a leading charity based in the Essex area.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Charity retail manager to join this charity at an exciting period of growth within the Ecommerce side. This newly created role is to drive the growth of the online e-trading side of the retail business. You will be working closely with the Head of Retail and the Director and you will be instrumental in increasing online sales and delivering income for the charity. Key Responsibilities

  • To support the Director in maximising the income and profit sustainability of the ecommerce business through the effective management of people, resources and budgets.
  • To contribute to strategy and policy/process development as appropriate to manage the ecommerce team and the operation of an online shop via the website - to support the Retail income.
  • To deliver the retail strategy.
  • To manage all aspects of the charities online sales activity and maximise income from donated and new goods - through recognised sales channels including the charities Online Shop via the website, eBay, Ziffit, vintage cash cow as well as introducing newecommerce income streams.
  • Working with all of the shop teams to identify goods from the retail and fundraising departments that are suitable for selling online to maximise income.
  • To establish, launch and manage the expansion of a range of new online shops/ventures
  • Be an e-trading champion and drive and inspire others to be the same both throughout the organisation.
  • Drive income growth and development in order to support the charities strategy.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience gained within an e-trading/e-commerce environment is essential, combined with an essential understanding of retail store management.
  • You will need to have a sound understanding of social media and the effective use of social media to sell.
  • Strong leadership experience and people management skills.
  • Experience of maintaining administrative procedures.
  • Previous experience of managing volunteers would be advantageous.
  • Experience gained working with online selling sites.
  • Strong relationship builder with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Good financial acumen and the ability to work to budget/financial guidelines.
  • Able to lead and motivate a team, strong people skills are a must.
  • Experience of selling goods on line from start to finish.
  • Experience working in Charity Retail.
  • Experience of working with an EPOS system or similar data base.
  • Passionate and driven with a tenacious personality.
