Junior Aerospace Engineer (£33,000pa) Immediate Start**Office Based in Havant, UK****Full UK Driving Licence Required**About the companyOur client is developing novel, high fidelity technologies in both the hardware and software domains to enable the unification of manned and unmanned air traffic. By virtue of the system’s design, the technology can be used for counter-drone and unifiedtraffic management activities.They are a fun, knowledgeable and experienced team looking for someone to support their research, design, development and testing of Aerospace technologies and product prototypes. The work is centered around the interesting subject of drones and SoftwareDefined Radios (SDR) systems.About the RoleThe company is a fast moving, commercially aware business with multiple threads in the counter drone industry. They are looking for special individuals who thrive in a hard working environment, supporting all aspects of the business where a need arises,who can think for themselves, work in isolation if necessary, and integrate into a small but effective team.Role Responsibilities

  • Researching and developing ideas/solutions to assist the aerospace department in achieving department objectives
  • Supporting field integration and tests of drone and radio systems
  • Administratively support attendance at expos, bids and demos
Do you have what it takes
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A willingness to work at the office every day
  • A desire to learn about Aerospace Engineering from some of the best experts
  • A Willingness to get your hands dirty at building and testing systems in the field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Ability to balance high workloads and prioritise between proactive and reactive jobs
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • A positive solution focussed approach to problems
  • The ability to manage projects from end to end and self motivate
  • A logical approach to project planning
Desired skills
  • CAD/CAM and 3D printing knowledge
  • Radio controlled systems (Hobby level is fine, any more than that is welcomed too)
  • Electronics and Microcontrollers
  • Programming (eg. Arduino, Python, C, Matlab)
  • Computer Vision
  • Motion Control (servis, stepper motors)
