Job Description

Area TrainerIf you have a passion for and experience of training, coaching and supporting others, we want to hear from you! Whilst experience in Learning & Development is an advantage its not a necessity, we are also keeping an eye out for people who have experiencein training people in an operational or retail capacity.This is a hands-on training role where you will be responsible for managing your own division whilst being part of the team that plans, designs and delivers our Moving Through the Gears induction programme for our new retail colleagues.You will be dealing with colleagues from all levels of the business, from branch level through to senior management, so building good working relationships and strong communication skills will be key to driving the L&D agenda. You will not only be an importantpart of the training team, but will be supporting the wider HR Team, helping to really grow the business and make our colleagues feel great about working here!Think you have what it takes Then come along for the rideRole & Responsibilities for anArea Trainer:

  • Build a strong working relationship with L&D peers and relevant key stakeholders to ensure that all programmes are aligned to and support business performance.
  • Enable, through training design & delivery of our induction sales programme, the early life cycle and ongoing development of salespeople that drives individuals to perform in line with sales targets.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programmes against expected sales performance and employee retention targets.
  • Shadow sales employees to assess skills gaps and opportunities for improvement, reporting back recommendations periodically.
  • Performance coach new sales starters during their early life cycle and also coach the coach with our training support population in retail
  • Create reports on the technical and analytical activity of the sales programmes that offer clear insights into required actions or recommendations. Use evaluation data to refine training programmes for continuous improvement.
  • Align and prioritise their work to both the learning and organisational plans.
  • Work with members of L&D and the wider HR team to ensure that blended programmes optimise learner output and are employee-centric.
  • Keep up to date with the latest training trends and methods for innovation and continuous learning, making recommendations and updates based on these findings.
  • Manage all administrative tasks effectively that form part of the sales programmes.
Need to know for an Area Trainer:
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Extensive TravelPossibly UK-wide
  • Up to date with own LMS content (Internal applicants)
  • Consistent KPIs results (Internal applicants)
Need to be:
  • Flexible, fantastic communication skills and huge amounts of drive are a must.
  • Strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • The ability to be comfortable with high volume workload and not be afraid to roll up your sleeves.
  • An ability to identify problems, create appropriate and innovative solutions in a cost-effective way.
  • Being an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Flexiblewillingness to travel and provide support where needed.
  • Strong IT skills (MS Office)
  • Confident presenting to groups (face to face/phone/video)
