Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Category Manager to join their team based in the North-West London area.JOB DETAILS* PAY RATE: £52,292 Per Annum* WORK TYPE: Permanent* WORK PATTERN: Full Time* LOCATION: North West LondonJOB SUMMARYYou will assist the organisation in achieving its goals for citizens, companies, and communities by providing great commercial advice. Working in collaboration with the relevant Department, serving as a key strategic counsel on complicated procurement concerns, handling high-value, complex, and/or risky procurement initiatives. You will offer internal customers with professional technical knowledge, advice, and direction on all elements of the procurement process, as well as to work efficiently with third-party suppliers.JOB DESCRIPTION * Contribute positively to the delivery of the service, including working flexibly and positively to accomplish the Councils objectives.* Ensure that the Councils overarching vision, values, and ethos are essential to the services requirements.* To facilitate good working connections and to serve as an ambassador and champion for internal stakeholders as well as external groups.* Maintain current knowledge of changes in service delivery and best practices to ensure that the service operates successfully and to the highest standards.* To work inside a framework established by corporate and departmental management teams, but with the ability to define the design of services.* A critical function within the team to take the lead on significant procurement initiatives that occur in any category of spend.THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATEThe successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:* Significant important evidence CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development.* Expertise in public procurement processes.* Understanding and knowledge of e-procurement tendering platforms.* Significant procurement management experience in a big, complicated company* Extensive experience handling end-to-end procurement procedures in the public sector.* Working experience with a diverse spectrum of internal and external clientsPlease be advised that only candidates that have the specific skills and experiences required for this role will be shortlisted and submitted to our client for review.HOW TO APPLYHit the APPLY button or contact Josh Savage at Tempting Recruitment NOW.
