Job Description

We are a small firm of Chartered Accountants / Chartered Certified Accountants based in Harrow-on-the-Hill and looking for a team member who can help with our every increasing workload.You will be working under the direct supervision of the partner.Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:- Preparation of the service charge accounts from client records using Extended TB on excel. We do not expect you to have experience in service charge accounting, but experience in the area will be advantageous.- Preparation of the year-end accounts and CT600s for small companies. You may help partner with some large set of accounts.- Preparation of the annual accounts for unincorporated businesses. - Preparation of self-assessments- Communicating with the client via eMail/telephone to resolve accounting queries.- Preparation / review of VAT returns on Xero / Excel- Preparation of small and large payrolls (weekly / monthly)- Helping with day to day admin workExperience- 6 - 12 months working experience within an accountancy practice.- Good accounting knowledge - accruals, prepayments, and year-end journals- Software IRIS / VT Accounts / BrightPay (experience of these softwares is advantageous but not mandatory, we can invest our time to train the right candidate).Role:We are looking for someone to join us on a part-time basis for 14 - 21 hours over two/three days, at a minimum wage rate. For the right candidate, this role can become full-time.We will also consider applications for a full-time role, depending on your experience, we can offer £18,000 for a full-time role.www.mmti.co.uk
