Job Description

Grounds Person required for a Secondary School in HarrowGrounds Person required in HarrowAt Engage Education Services, we’re currently recruiting for a Grounds Person in a Secondary School in Harrow.The RoleTo assist in the maintaining of the School grounds to a high standard which include gardening maintenance duties involving the use of hand held powered tools, e.g. mowing equipment, trimmers and hedge cutters.The role also requires undertaking all aspects of sports turf maintenance and marking out pitches.

  • Ensure the safe use, storage and disposal of pesticides and other hazardous substances.
  • To keep the roads of the Estate free of leaves and litter.
  • Snow/ice removal and ensuring playgrounds and pathways are safe.
  • Preparing plants for ornamental planting areas having due regard to factors including soil composition, drainage, prevailing weather, location and flowering times, pests etc.
