Job Description

Job Title: Infrastructure EngineerLocation: HybridEmployer: Pertemps Recruitment Partnership for Harrow CouncilContract Type: Temporary AssignmentHours of Work: 36 hours per week, Monday to FridayOverview of an Infrastructure Engineer:Pertemps have an exciting opportunity within Harrow Council for a self-driven and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join an expanding team. The role of an Infrastructure Engineer has a competitive pay rate of £300 day rate.The Main Purpose of an Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Identify and evaluate potential schemes and projects in relation to the maintenance and/ or development of the Councils infrastructure, produce designs and specifications for prioritisation within the overall programme of works.
  • Manage the consultative and quality assurance processes with relevant stakeholders throughout all stages of the project life cycle.
  • Assist in the preparation of the committee reports, technical reports, briefing notes and correspondence.
  • Investigate enquiries, complaints, suggestions and requests for action regarding design matters ensuring a high standard of customer care.
  • Act as project team member for any project or when required act as project manager for projects of moderate degree of difficulty, preparing design documentation legal briefs.
About you, the successful Infrastructure Engineer will have:
  • Extensive experience in designing Cycle routes and Bus priority.
  • Knowledge of appropriate Health and Safety, Environmental Management Systems and Construction Design and Management regulations.
  • Competency in one or more of engineering and traffic design techniques
  • Understanding of relevant highway and traffic legislation and statutory consultation processes, particularly the Highways Act and Road Traffic Regulation Act
  • Must be able to demonstrate 2-3 relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Possession of a full, clean UK current driving licence
  • Able to undertake site visits and work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Experience in project management and Supervisory experience
