Job Description

Location: Harrow, LondonSalary: £90,000 - £100,000Summary:At Bis Henderson, we have an excellent opportunity for a charismatic leader with end-to-end supply chain experience, ideally gained within an FMCG environment with seasonal fluctuations. As Head of Logistics, you will manage all supply chain and logisticsactivities, including distribution, warehousing and stock management. Your focus will be to deliver a best-in-class service at an optimal cost, driven through operational efficiency and ongoing improvements. You will have the capacity to drive change and transformation;ensuring supply chain operations are agile and robust to support ongoing growth. Applicants need to be highly analytical, with a solid commercial acumen. A proven track record of working at a senior level with knowledge of logistics and supply chain toolsis expected. The personality and gravitas to engender trust and respect from stakeholders across all levels is essential.Mainly based in London, the successful candidate will be able to travel between various sites across the UK and occasionally travel to Ireland.Key Responsibilities as Head of Logistics:

  • Devise supply chain strategies to support business objectives and growth plans, whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the implementation of transformational projects to optimise end-to-end supply chain efficiencies, including warehouse and transport operations.
  • Oversee multiple sites and teams within them to provide leadership and ensure achievement of business goals.
  • Responsibility for finances, budgets and KPIs, assisted by ensuring accurate forecasting and planning.
  • Ensure all company and legislative policies and procedures are adhered to.
Key Skills / Experience as Head of Logistics:
  • Proven experience working at a senior leadership level overseeing warehousing, transport and end-to-end supply chain and outstanding technical knowledge within these functions.
  • Successful track record of implementing transformational projects to enhance operations within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in new site set-ups would be advantageous.
  • A personable character who is people-focused in their leadership approach.
  • Analytical with a strong commercial acumen.
