Teacher in JournalismSalary: qualified* up to £23,120.40Unqualified: £18,316.20Location: Harlow CollegePart time 3 days per weekPermanentAbout the teamThe programmes that the Journalism team deliver are units on news & magazines, documentaries, film making, interactive journalism, social media and public relations.About the roleAs a an enthusiastic and talented teacher you will deliver Journalism courses at Level 3 and above to 16-18 year olds as well as mature students. To be delivered to the highest standards using a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning initiatives that engage, motivate and enable all learners of all abilities to make significant progress from their starting points. You will also be working to address individual learning needs, overcome barriers to learning and encourage autonomous learning.What we are looking forThe successful candidate will ideally have knowledge of UAL and or NCTJ, industry experience or be able to offer expertise in one or more of the following areas; broadcasting (TV and Radio), shorthand, sport, news writing, newspaper or magazine design, photography and/or on-line journalism.
