Job Description

Scheduling Coordinator - Immediate Start 6 Month Fixed Term Contract | High Growth Automotive Start-Up | Harlow - On SiteThe ClientWe are excited to be working with an extremely high potential, brand new automotive start up providing high end services to the luxury car market. The company has grown exponentially since its inception circa 6 months ago and is now looking for an ambitious,high performing Operations professional to help the business cope with its current demand.The company has a state-of-the-art facility in Harlow, offering high end services to some of the most exclusive celebrities and UHNW individuals on earth. Their service is unique and of such a high quality that they have interest from a US investor who wouldlike to take a large stake in the company as well as their partner company.There is a high-performance culture and a very lean team / flat structure, so progression opportunities are endless. This role will require a very hands-on commercial operations professional who has experience in scheduling, ideally from an automotive background.You will be in charge of the on the ground operations so will need to be organised, autonomous and self-motivated.The roleReporting to the CFO/COO initially and ultimately the Operations Manager once they are hired, you will be responsible for daily vehicle operations to ensure the efficient and effective running of the shop floor processes which largely comprise:

  • Delivery inwards.
  • Vehicle inspection.
  • Decontamination and washing.
  • Installation / performing of services.
  • QC inspection.
  • Deliver outwards.
This will require you to track approx. 30 cars/month initially, scheduling pre-set time slots for each car as it passes through each of the above stages.In consultation with the Operations Manager, you will be adept at proactively rescheduling to address bottlenecks, overruns, installer absences and unscheduled deliveries to optimise the efficient and effective running of the business to help ensure we hitour monthly sales targets.What we need to see
  • Scheduling experience in a similar role, ideally in an automotive workshop but candidates with other similar scheduling experience will be considered.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Able to work autonomously without the need for micromanagement.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to work under pressure at times.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
What we would like to see
  • Automotive experience desirable.
  • Proficient Excel user desirable.
