Our extended catchment area incorporates a populationof up to 500,000 and includes the areas of Hoddesdon, Cheshunt, and Broxbourne in Hertfordshire.PAHT are committed to attracting and retaining the best staff and if you want to work with us to develop your own career and help us achieve our vision then we would like to hear from you.The Therapies department is delighted to offer the opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individual to join their Team.Job SummaryDaily to provide skilled team leadership in planning and delivering the high standards of physiotherapy assessment, management, treatment and advice to patients within the elective orthopaedic ward, fracture neck of femur ward, outlier trauma patients andsurgical paediatric cases.To take a major role in the advanced assessment and management of patients within this specialty who may have a complex presentation and / or a multipathology presentation, determining best delivery of care, in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team(MDT).To work as an autonomous professional according to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) "Rules of Professional Conduct" and "Standards of Physiotherapy", and the Health Professions Councils (HPC) regulations.To undertake service reviews / audits in order to evaluate quality, efficiency and outcomes with a view to implementing change of practice, to ensure that a high standard of clinical practice and patient care is maintainedDevelop relationships with professional colleagues locally, regionally and nationally if required to develop clinical pathways relevant to frailty.Take a lead role in the supervision, teaching and appraisal of physiotherapists, non-qualified physiotherapy staff & students to graduate level, and multidisciplinary team (MDT) staff in physiotherapeutic care of patients within this specialty.To be the Trauma Rehabilitation Co-ordinator - responsible for co-ordination and communication regarding Trauma Patients current and future rehabilitation needs including oversight of the rehabilitation prescription of those patients.To be successful in applying for this role you will need: HCPC registration or equivalent Appropriate BSc degree Evidence of post graduate training / development courses relevant to the speciality Extensive post-graduation physiotherapy experience, including working within Orthopaedics outpatients at Band 6 Broad range of clinical experience at Band 5 and 6 level including acute medicine, critical care/respiratory, neurology and MSK Professional attitudeWho are NHS ProfessionalsIf a hospital cannot supply staff on a ward or area, due to increased demand, sickness, or common staff shortages, they need to call upon Bank staff.
