Job Description

A leading Peterborough employer is looking to appoint a PA to Managing Director (MD) and Business Performance Director (BPD). Working for two Directors, requires you to be highly professional and efficient, to work at pace and under pressure as standard.The key measure to success in this role will be to take control and deliver efficient complex diary management. You will also need to be able to adapt your style to each of the Directors needs.Your role will involve:

  • Diary management, liaising with other Board Directors and members of the business to plan MD and BPDs diaries from a short- and long-term perspective
  • Planning ahead to organise Board events ensuring a clear line of sight for the MD/BPD and the business in terms of up-and-coming activities, internal and external, building in sufficient planning and preparation time to ensure success attendance and delivery
  • Full control and planning of Board Quarterly Business Review meetings
  • Managing MDs/BPDs time in a meaningful way - planning ahead and being mindful of all deadlines
  • Daily monitoring of incoming emails and general correspondence
  • Screen calls, enquiries and requests for information and action as appropriate
  • Organise travel, accommodation and off-site conferences; take own initiative, think/plan ahead to arrange everything, making sure all relevant details are within the diaries
  • Have a good working relationship with PAs within Head Office and other businesses
  • Monthly credit card transactions and statement process, processing expenses and issuing purchase orders and authorising invoices
You must be able to demonstrate:
  • Previous experience working for Senior Directors to manage their complex diaries
  • The ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels, and to manage their expectations according to the urgency, complexity and relevance of their query - diplomacy is key here!
  • First class knowledge of all MS Office suite
  • That you remain calm under pressure and deliver to deadline
