Job Description

24-7 Recruitment Services acting as an Employment Business are currently recruiting for Transport Operator on behalf of our client, based in Liverpool, Speke.Main Responsibilities:

Ensuring that all elements of the job are effectively communicated to drivers.
Ensuring drivers are debriefed as per the site instructions and PODs are captured and uploaded in a timely manner
Ensure that all drivers are working within a safe environment and follow driver hours regulations.
Liaising with planning team to optimise fleet/driver utilisation, identifying and resolving problems affecting delivery on time.
Close liaison with other operators and team leaders to discuss efficiencies and agreed operational practices.
Conducting initial investigations into accidents or issues of driver performance and raising with Transport Supervisors to ensure they are dealt with efficiently and consistently.

Strong administrative skills
PC literate
Team player
Must be comfortable with working in a busy fast paced environment and good with dealing with drivers as the 1st point of contact.
Must have previous experience working in a transport office as an Operator / Controller / Supervisor position
