Job Description

Currently, we are looking for a dedicated IT Technician to join our team.Job Summary:Join our clients dynamic team as an IT Technician, and you will contribute significantly to the seamless operation of our schools technology and cloud-based systems. Reporting to the Digital Technology Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting,and enhancing our IT infrastructure. Additionally, you will provide technical support to both staff and students, stepping in for the Digital Technology Manager during their absence. This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passionfor technology and a commitment to education.Key Responsibilities:Technical Support:

  • Offer technical support to students and staff for hardware and software issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems, including troubleshooting network and connectivity issues.
  • Install and configure computer systems and software applications.
  • Play a pivotal role in the development of cloud-based technology and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Hardware Maintenance:
  • Maintain and repair computer hardware, printers, projectors, and other technology equipment.
  • Keep an accurate inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
Software Management:
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications.
  • Ensure software licenses are up-to-date and compliant with licensing agreements.
Network Support:
  • Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting the schools local area network (LAN).
  • Ensure the network is secure and running efficiently.
User Training:
  • Provide training and guidance to staff and students on the use of technology resources.
  • Assist teachers in becoming familiar with M365 to deliver their curriculum.
Security and Data Protection:
  • Implement and monitor security protocols to protect the schools data and network from threats.
  • Backup and recover data as needed using the organizations cloud backup provision.
Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of IT issues, resolutions, and maintenance procedures.
  • Document IT policies and procedures as necessary.
Qualifications and Personal Qualities:
  • Holder of recognized secondary education certification.
  • Possess the attitude and aptitude to excel within the role.
  • Proven experience working in IT support or a similar role.
  • Proven experience using M365 within an educational context.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS environments.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with network administration and security.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adept at problem-solving and multitasking.
  • Commitment to supporting education and the schools mission.
