Job Description

This is to be based in the Ipswich offices and with a requirement to work weekly rotating shifts Mon - Thurs 06:00 - 14:00 or 14:00 - 22:00 Fri 06:00 - 14:00 or 14:00 - 20:00.As a Quality Control Technician member you will be involved in the following:

  • Ensuring that customer requirements are fulfilled by carrying out the necessary supplied product and production quality checks to maintain control over the manufactured product
  • Highlighting of any existing or perceived issues to relevant personnel at the earliest opportunity
  • Working with the internal teams to resolve any issues and reduce risk of non-conforming product being manufactured
  • Adherence to QMS processes and procedures (Quality Management System) within the QC department and ensuring that the relevant regulatory, external and internal standards are met.

  • Background in similar quality control/technician role and/or an understanding of Quality Principles.
  • Graduates welcome or applicants qualified to A Level in at least one Scientific or Technical Discipline or equivalent academic and/or professional experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferable and an understanding of compliance to standards would be beneficial.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) and high attention to detail is paramount.
  • Be a problem solver, look at Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Computer literate with good communication skills and a proactive approach.
  • Work on own initiative and prioritise own workload.
  • Be a team player and work with the internal members to provide a good service.
