The RoleWe have a great opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Operator to join us at Celotex in Hadleigh. You will be responsible for the operation of the plant machinery in accordance with the agreed company standards and specifications, in order to ensure the safe, continuous, effective and efficient production of excellent qualityCelotex Products.This role is shift-based. We have opportunities for Night Workers, to work 10pm-6am (Sunday to Thursday), but there may be an opportunity for shifts that rotate between earlies and lates (6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm).Key responsibilities:

• Safely and correctly operate production machinery and equipment, monitoring equipment performance and reporting any defects or problems immediately to appropriate persons.
• Select the correct materials and the correct programme required for each production run, be it Hennecke Production or Off Line and make necessary and authorised adjustments to the equipment to produce the best quality products. Inform the Team Leader/OpsShift Manager of any problems, issues or shortages and ensure the appropriate remedial action to resolve them is taken.
• Advise the Team Leader/Ops Shift Manager of any disruption to the production programme and timescales for resolution; complete alternative duties during periods of downtime.
• Ensure that during production all parameters are met or exceeded without loss of quality or downtime and that the downtime log is recorded accurately and timely.
• Keep the Team Leader/Ops Shift Manager and Quality Control fully informed of any quality related problems with regard to chemicals, raw materials, or finished products, and liaise with them to ensure appropriate remedial action is taken swiftly and effectively.
• Reject any suspect material (raw materials or finished goods) and advise your Team Leader / Manager. Support the whole Operations Team with problem solving and troubleshooting in the event of any process and product quality related issues.
• Manage and complete all paperwork well and timely, accurately logging all stoppages, faults, downtime, etc. in the relevant place e.g. MES / SCADA.
• Take part and fulfil your allocated duties relating to TPM, 5S, AM (Autonomous Maintenance), cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and housekeeping of plant and equipment.
• Be familiar with all offline Ancillary Equipment and operate as required.
• Safely and correctly handle all equipment and materials at all times. Be familiar with all raw materials and packaging for the area you are trained and ensure all instructions relating to their storage, stock rotation, labelling, transport, use, handling,disposal, specifications, and supplier labelling, are understood and followed. Always respect that no job you do is so important it cannot be done safely.
• Ensure all KPIs and/or SMART objectives set are performed effectively within the target and agreed parameters.
• Where applicable Support all plant trials and aid their evaluation.
• Train and provide guidance to Engineers and Operators as required.
• Document your own work clearly and precisely.
• Undertake any other duties as may be required by your Team Leader / Line Manager or the Executive team, consistent with the scope of the role.

What were looking for in a Multi-Skilled Operator:

• Have a detailed knowledge of the safe and correct operation of all production machinery and equipment.
• Hold a valid and current Forklift Truck Driving License.
• Demonstrate a strong awareness and respect for health, safety and environment.
• Have an awareness of WCM and / or Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies
• Be IT Literate.
• Flexibility (regarding working hours & willingness to work across varied functions).
• Ability to develop their skills across different tasks/machinery.
• Attention to detail for product quality and task.
• Ability to work within a team with autonomy.
• Safety audit reporting experience/knowledge
• Some previous project experience for continuous improvement in manufacturin
