Job Description

Senior Commercial Manager - Events and Exhibitions IndustryLocation: Near Hackney, London (3-day hybrid working arrangement)Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Company Profile: An esteemed client in the events and exhibitions industry is seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Manager to join their team. With a rich history of delivering exceptional events, our client remains at the forefrontof innovation and excellence. Due to the confidential nature of this search, all applications will be handled with the utmost discretion.Role Overview: As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the commercial aspects of a multi-site project located in South East London. This challenging role demands a professional with a degreein Quantity Surveying, expertise in internationally recognized contracts (particularly FIDIC), and a preference for candidates with RICS qualification and fast track project experience.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the commercial aspects of a high-profile project across five separate sites in South East London.
  • Utilize your Quantity Surveying expertise to ensure accurate cost management and budget control.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with internationally recognized standards such as FIDIC.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate commercial risks.
  • Drive efficiency and performance improvements throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Commercial Manager in the events and exhibitions industry.
  • Expertise in handling internationally recognized contracts, particularly FIDIC.
  • RICS qualification is highly desirable.
  • Fast track project experience is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and coordinate activities across multiple sites.
