Pastry Chef - Education - Dover - Monday to Friday - £26,200Due to the continued success of this fantastic School and the quality food offering they are providing the team there are looking to add a strong Pastry focused Chef to the team. Creating fresh desserts daily for both the students and the faculty, this role is one that requires volume experience and creativity.Details;* Large team in Kitchen* Predominantly 7am till 4pm, Monday to Friday (there will need to be flexibility within this)* Cooking for 500 students and 100 staff daily* Fresh food site, freshly baked breads* Excellent team with real stability* Opportunity to really influence the menu cycles and the dishes that are produced on a daily basisDuties;* Ensure that all desert items are produced daily to the highest standards * Effectively run the pastry kitchen* Maintaining stock levels on the section as required * Designing and developing recipes with senior team* Working closely with team to constantly improve food offering * Maintaining a quality service driven environment at all times* Using fresh ingredients to produce stylish & delicious deserts and bakes* Overseeing the effective completion of all health and safety regulations including HACCP, COSHH and all other due diligence The ideal Pastry Chef will be;* From a strong culinary background with experience working with fresh food* Used to working with volume - Contract catering or conference and banqueting experience would be ideal* Extensive pastry experience* Strong people skills, able to work with a wide variety of people * Flexible - there maybe times when due to the nature of the business additional hours/ working patterns may be requiredThis position is paying to £26,200pa and provides a fantastic fresh food environment and real work life balanceIf this sounds like the position for you then apply below!
