We are looking for a highly motivated back-end Developer to be part of the development team responsible for the development and support of our web-based HR and Analytics systems.The primary focus of this role will be supporting the on-going development of our online HR and Analytics portals.The portals are developed in .NET Core and C#, using SQL Server as the back-end database, all hosted on the Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.You will sit in the development team working with three other developers.Responsibilities* Work on the on-going development of a web based Human Resource and Analytics system* Providing a creative approach and clear guidance in defining product development solutions* Explaining technical issues in a simple and concise way to Product Owners and key stakeholders* Promoting agile engineering practices such as Pair programming, Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration* Develop to a high standard and to schedule* Perform robust testing of developments to ensure a high quality is reached* Ensure documentation is produced and kept up to date* Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences* Provide training to end-users when requiredSkills & Experience* At least two years commercial software development experience having worked on at least one major web-based portal project* Some experience of application support in a customer facing environment* Experience of working with agile development techniques (one or more of: TDD, Pair programming, CI, XP, is desirable)* Excellent knowledge of .NET Core/Framework 4+ and C#* Experience of working with IoC frameworks and ORM tools e.g. Simple Injector, Entity Framework, Dapper* TDD and familiarity with automated test and build practices and relevant technologies (e.g. Postman, Webdriver, Selenium, WebInject)
